I'm using a 50 CFM bathroom exhaust fan on an arch about 20x60". I works good, but I think I should have went with a little larger fan.

2x6 210 CFM under fire worked great. I added a high pressure blower that through the nozzles about 100CFM and damp the under fire air way down. Works greater.

not sure the exact cfm, but i got it with my evap from masons. all i know is that with dry pallet wood or slab wood if i run it it on high or 3/4's it turns my stack orange and red. i listed this before but i used a light dimmer switch to control the speed on my blower not sure if it is cheaper than a rheostat but it works fine and keeps me from burning down my "shack".

Running 260 CFM on my 2 x 6. Like adk1 mentioned about his setup, 260 CFM seems to be sized just about right for a 2 x 6.

.
I used to use a 50 cfm bath fan too, on a table light dimmer switch, it worked great on my old 2x2 barrel arch last year, but this year i built a new 275 oil drum evap with a 2x4, and it was less than desireable, tried a 70 cfm that was better not great now i just found a 250 cfm blower at home depot designed for 6'' duct work and i'm gonna give that a try

Menards has the 70 cfm bathroom blower on sale for $19.99. and the 50cfm on sale of $9.99. Will the 70 be enough on a half pint? How is everyone mounting them to the ash door?
