I am in the market for an auto draw off. Is the maple gugu a good choice. I have the money for a lappierre but if i could spend 800 less i would like to. I saw the digital display and it only had digits. It didnt show a decimal place.

Does anybody have one? is it accurate to the same brix level and is it dependable to not scorch my pan.

there is a whole discussion here on it. I doubt many people have them in use yet since this is the first year they are availible.

I have one but just got it this winter. I talked with the owners for quite a while at the New York conference. I don't think it does have a decimal point setting. For me that wasn't an issue as I still keep a close check on things with a hydrometer. If a decimal in the setting is what you need I would go with a Marcland as they are probably the most popular unit and still well under the cost of the Laperier models.
