So I am starting this year, to code my containers when I bottle. What do you guys use to put the code on. I bought a stamp with adjustable numbers but the ink doesn't dry on the containers. should I use a sticker or would a price sticker gun work? I really don't wanna write a code on every bottle want something quick and eaasy!!!

We still hand label ours on the bottom with an ultra fine sharpie. You can do it pretty quick. We do year month day grade : 120301DA . Then keep a record of the what size and how many and what grade were bottled each day. Gives us a batch record pretty simple and quick.

We just start with 1 on the bottom of the bottle with a sharpie. then we keep a record of the day we bottle /when it was drawn off/ grade/gl,hgal,qt,pts. just keep on numbering
batchs from there.

Use use something very similar to mapleack.
02281201MA, date 2/28/12, batch number 01, grade Medium Amber.

I added the batch number for when i have a large enough amount of syrup sitting there where I needed to finish each one seperate. And also for future expansion.
