yep. 20" vacuum for all bushes. antimicrobial .5gals syrup/tap. cv's, I did try 2,000 to be fair, .4gs/tap and old spile .37gs/tap. antimicrobial got me more syrup, was much easier to wash with water and air, and no stubbie to pop off of the adaptor.I had a big problem with premature seperation of the cv and stubbie all last season. the antimicrobial spiles are made in New York also.

who makes these, and where can you get them?Tom Kauffman of Delancey ny came up with the idea. you can buy them at pretty much any commercial maple supply outlet. We currently are using the Leader check valves on our 6000 taps. If you have vac they work just as good and are alot cheaper. We made .6 gallons per tap last year and our best bush averaged 42.5 gallons of sap per tap. The local producers who are gravity are running longer on the antimicrobial spout though.

We've know Tom for many years and got most of equipment through him. He's a great guy and will really help you out. This is his invention. Check out Catskill Mountain Maple in Dellancey, NY Good luck.

I put out 500 on vacume, Feb 1. I got them from Bascom last spring. They have been flowing like crazy for whatever the reason. They seemed to seat in easier than the CVs also. We'll see what they do after next weeks predicted warm weather.
