I was using my thermometer last week when boiling on my outside half pint and when the wind would blow the temp would drop. I think it was because the steam was condensing on the probe and cooling in the wind. Does anyone have a good solution to stop this or should I just have it drilled and a couple ports put in it? Problem is I will be boiling for the next week before I can get probes installed at SugarBush Supplies. I was thinking some aluminum foil around the probe or make a little U-shaped metal piece out of tin and put the proble through that.

Ideas?
