we have not had a run yet up here but around here you don't get more than 20 cents a gallon no matter what the sugar content and thats alot. What I would do is work a trade 50/50 you get half the syurp from your hard work you will make out better in the long run.

Sap prices should vary on the sugar content.Mike Farrell came up with a new formula based on bulk price of syrup and % you want to work with,i buy 1000's each year and use the bulk price average:ex1.7-.25cents to 3.0-.57cents,2.50-.45 cents,2.0-.32 cents,2.50-.45 cents

sugarman - I've worked up some prices and have been paying very close to yours and I believe are similar to the prices published over the past couple of years. I'm still waiting to see 2012 published prices but have not seen them. Does anybody have a copy of chart posted in the Maple Digest from last year that they could add to a post here?

1.5% 20 cents
2% 32.5 cents
2.5% 45 cents
3% 57.5 cents
