Based on the new info about old plastic reducing late season flow, I am trying to use new droplines & spouts when adding new taps. But my old waterloo blue ribbed tubing, old green berliner and US maple tubing still runs great and give me more than enough sap.
When I do replace a section of tubing, I often just lug the old tubing higher up the mountain and use it to hook up the straggler trees that are not cost-effective to tap with new plastic. I guess I have the luxury of having more trees than I need for my one-man operation.
