Columbia County??

Anybody else out there in Columbia County NY? I'm just a nights and weekends hobby guy, between Old Chatham and Malden Bridge. I tapped last weekend, Feb. 18th. It's hard to know when to tap when all winter it's too warm. I probably would have tapped earlier if I had a little more enthusiasm and a little less work. Without a real winter I had trouble getting going, getting started.

I'm not Col. county but not far off in Stephentown. I am also a hobbyist with about 220 taps this year. I started about 2 weeks ago and wasn't sure when to tap either. I have only gotten about 450 gals. of sap to this point and am anxiously awaiting a more significant warm up.
