Found a 2x6 english tin flue pan for sale, But my arch is only a 2x6 and want to keep room for my syrup pan 24"x18". So my question is has anyone ever cut a section out of a flue pan and re-attached. Can you bronze or mig weld english tin. If i need too, put a new end on it with regular steel. Maybe i'm just wasting my time and money?

It would be easier for you to lengthen your arch than try hacking up a flue pan.

in my personal opinion (for what its worth) i would legnthen the arch. it would give you a couple extra gpa's with the extra amount of flue pan.
