What size permate holding tank is required for a 1000gal/hr RO?

That would depend on how much you want to catch . A thousand gallons would more than take care of your R.O. rinsing needs . Of course the more water you put through your membranes the cleaner they'll be . LaPierre recomends a minimun of 300 gal. per membrane for a thorough rinse .

I need 1200 gallons of permeate for my 600 GPH RO, if I do an acid wash.

Thanks for the input. Buying a 1550 poly tank at Tractor Supply in the morning.
I have a 300 and a 200 for my 250gph. This gives me extra for washing pans and tanks. There is usually some left over in case of a light run when I do not make enough permeate to rinse.
