Ok all of you veterans... what's up with this scenario?

I put in all of my drops a couple of weeks ago on tubing. It's been running pretty consistently. Today was very warm once again. I started adding buckets (around 4pm) and while drilling the hole the sap was pouring out of them. I could hear the sap landing in the buckets at a pretty good pace.

I pulled a few lines on the taps to see if they were running and nothing.

The only explanation I could think of is that the trees that were previously tapped had already drained their sap for the day while the trees that hadn't been tapped yet had more pressure in them to send the sap out the hole.

Does this make sense?

Oh, I even tried redrilling a couple of taps to see if they would run and still had nothing.

Any idea what's going on?

trees always seem to run good right after you tap them. Or, usually., tubing runs are woods trees and buckets are along the road where they get more sun.
