What size vacuum line?

I am running off my neighbors vacuum pump this year, and this is the situation...He has a 30 cfm 3 HP Liquid Ring Pump
He has his vacuum pump in his shed and is running a 1.5" vac line to his releaser, which is about 850 ft away...Only 550 taps on this releaser
We will be running our vacuum line from our releaser to his releaser which will be another 900 ft....We only have about 400 taps
Should we run a 1" dry line or 1.25" dry line from his releaser to ours? We would have to pay an extra $160 dollars for the 1.25"...Is it worth it?

That will work but you should use the 1 1/4 pipe instead of the 1 inch. Thats nice you can share vacuum with your neighbor. Hope you make a bunch.

Adding vac to those 380 taps should increase your production by about 90 Gallons of syrup , at a cost of less than $2.00/Gal. . Looks like a nobrainer from here !
