Hi guys,

Has anyone ever heard of this? I would continually add, and keep it around 80-90% finished, then empty into my flat pan for finishing at the end of the day. The flue pan would be the same size as my flat one, 18x48. We can only boil on weekends, and this would help have a better yeild for time invested. Based on the info found on this site, I could get to around 25 gal./hr if this works.

This site is giving me sleeping problems!, too much to read :)

thats what i did this year, i had my flat pan fabed into a flu pan (pic on my profile). my pan is ss 17 inchs wide x 54 inches long. i was getting 10 gal hr. last year & with the flues i'am getting close to 20. we boil down close to syrup on the flu pan & pull the pan & transfer to ss 32 quart stock pot & finish on turky fryer. has worked well so far. good luck!

Be careful not to get too close to syrup in a flue pan of any type. As it gets thicker it may not mix and you might end up burning your pan, maybe down in the flues. It can happen really fast!
