good weather but no sap

I have not yet bored any holes up here in the Littleton area but....

seems to be that a lot of our southern brethren have been having good sugaring weather but less than expected sap flows.

Despite all the predictions of NO SNOW = EARLY MAPLE SEASON, I'm beginning think that the lack of snow allowed the frost to penetrate deeper into the ground which is responsible for the less than stellar sap flows. I'm thinking of waiting a little longer to tap.

Here in Peterborough my ground is so frozen that even the warm days it will only trickle. Last sunday was the best flow day I have seen and after last nights low temp my ground is a solid brick again. This week looks good on the forecast and it's snowing instead of raining down here tonight.
