I was given two 55 gallon drums from a bread factory today. All the hydraulics in the machinery uses Mineral oil instead of hydraulic fluid for the obvious reason. This is food grade. Thoughts on how to clean these for sap storage? They are banded, so I can remove the tops and re attach. I got a few ideas, but I'm foolish sometimes. If this works I have an endless supply.

Go to a car wash and spary the heck out of them with the wand or do it at home with the hose hooked to hot water.

you can use a product called PBW. it is a food grade cleaner used in the beer making industry, you can get it online or at your local home brew supply store. it has cleaned things i used to throw away. it is a powder you mix with water.
