Big maple ice cubes

We've had a few days with a good run, but not having the evaporator ready, left the sap in the caged tanks in the bush.
Checked them last night an found we have 4' x 4' x 3' ice cubes ... frozen solid, with the fresh sap landing on top.

Besides waiting for god, I can't think of a way to help melt it.

I guess in the meantime we'll have to suck the fresh run off the top .... and do it more frequently.

It's pretty awesome. A 10' long 18" thick cube of frozen sap.

Anyway, yesterday we added a few hundred more gallons and sucked it off through the RO

First fire is only and hour away.

God may finish the job in the next couple days.
