Would you trust syrup that was made in a pan that had holes fixed with high temperature food grade silicon??:confused:

I'd say no after reading the msds for a similar product available here:

One of the byproducts of high heat is formaldehyde and If you're burning wood and burning it hot I'd guess your pan temps will exceed the 400F constant temp this particular product is rated for.
