Sappin in sneakers!!!

First boil 2/10, sap ran really well 2/15-2/17. Not a snowbank for miles and collecting buckets in sneakers. Got garlic and spinach in and yankin the sweet carrots. For west central Vermont in mid February this is crazy, but safer than ice fishin.

We just got 36 inches of snow yesterday and last night. I am sure glad my woods is all tapped. I don't think there will be any sap running here for a few weeks. I need to check all my lines this week to make sure everything is above snow level. I hope there is no limbs down. My Brute Force without tracks is worthless right now. I moved out of Alaska to get away from this all this snow. I think it's following me. I was able to get 10,000 gallons of sap so far and i am hoping for 90,000 more.
