Looking to build a bigger evap. I was thinking a 2x5 or 3x5 flue pan with two whatever size sectioned syrup pans up front. Been checking on float valves at work and to be honest I really don't know what to go with. If anyone wouldn't mind, please explain the flow of sap from the flue pan to the syrup pan. The new rig will be reverse flow so I need to know locations of each input/output. Do you have a float from pan to pan??? Or are they connected with sanitary elbows and valves? I would love to look at a setup but they are far and few between in my area. I'm working on a small rig for a hobby, but in the future I want to become licensed and have my son take over.

Thanks for any input!
Shawn

Shawn check this website out for some good pics for a reversable flow finish pan http://www.maplesyrupevaporators.com/

The float is only neccessary from pan to pan if you build a raised flue pan. However you will still want a float box to regulate your flue pan level
