Ice in Spouts

Hey, had a good freeze last night, expecting a good run today.....ive got ice hanging in and from my spouts.....Ive always left em' alone, but will they start flowing sooner if I pull the ice from the end of my spouts (unplug them) or just let the sun warm them off and let the ice fall off?

I don't think it makes any difference. The ice will loosen enough to permit sap flow before the tree warms up enough to run.
