Tapped yesterday afternoon

The sun came out for a minute so I started, first 4 where wet and then 2 dry. I am trying some different trees than last year just to see when they will run, they are not as exposed as the ones I did last year.
It was on and off flurries 40 degrees all day but melting. I got 5 quarts from 4 trees. I will tap a few more later.

It sounds like it is time, my neighbor although a much larger operation tapped yesterday. We put the battery on the charger and pulled out the buckets and sap storage tanks yesterday. Hopefully it is not raining this afternoon and we can get some buckets hung. Good luck and enjoy.
