Hi everyone,
My name is Kevin Keefe, I am the president of a student run club at Alfred University called the Forest People. We built a sugar shack this year to allow the club to produce maple syrup; it's been played around with for a few years and we wanted to solidify the process in the club. I have been notified by the university that, we (the club) are allowed to sell the syrup to gain funding to supplement the process/ club. I was wondering if anyone knows the restrictions/ regulations for producing and selling maple syrup in the state of New York. We are a non-for profit club and will not be using the money as a form of "personal income," just as a "fundraiser" for the club. Any information on the topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
AU Forest People President,
Kevin Keefe
