Does sap flow after dark?

I am not sure where to post this...When the sun goes down it obviously takes some time for the temp to drop below freezing. While the temp is dropping, the sun is down, does the sap still run till 32 degrees?

if the temp doesnt drop below freezing it can run all night and the next day.

Absolutely! The biggest trees will take the longest to stop if it goes below freezing.

Have seen sap flow down into the 20's if it hasn't run in awhile and conditions are right.Make sure to check your tanks or buckets at night if it is still running late in the day,too short-lived to let it run on the ground overnight!!!!!!!!!

Yes it will. I have seen runs that have lasted for 3 or 4 days.
