Springfield Acer

I am really careful about cleanliness in my system as anything that gets absorbed into the sap gets concentrated in the final product. I built a copper preheater for inside my steam hood and soldered it with Silverbrite solder and Oatey 95 flux. Upon completion, I flushed it continuously with hot water to clean it out. I really did not worry much about it since these are used on potable water piping all the time. It was after I ran a batch of syrup yesterday that it made me wonder (a little late).
I also see a lot of pictures of other rigs that have soldered copper tubing and think I'm just over reacting.
Thoughts?
