There has been a lot of talk about bottling units in the form of coffee urns which work for the small guys. I found a new unit and would like some feedback pros & cons. It has a manual perk vs warm switch so you could self regulate the temp a little with a temp gauge comming out the top.

That will work pretty well. It should get the syrup up to 185 deg. The downside is that the small heater in it will overheat the syrup that touches it and it will make a little more sand and you'll have a very small amount of it show up on the bottom of your bottles. The longer it stays in the urn, the more it will make.

Keep your eye out for a water jacketed one on eBay. There was one on there a few weeks ago that went for only $200. Those things go for a grand plus normally.

I've got a water jacketed urn in the clasified section right now. Can't use it because I don't have 220 volts handy at the sugar house.
Asking $350 but I'm open to reasonable offers. The heating element can be wired for either 3 phase or single phase - it's set up for 3 phase now, but is easily changed over. I have not used it and don't know much about it, but I think everything is there.
