Just curious to know who is running what type of vacuum pump and how much vacuum are you running. I am running a five horse water cooled at 24 inches. It is a five horse 75 cfm made by sihi.

I wish I had that. I run 17.5-18" I don't want to burn up my old milking vacuum pumps. Some day I mighr muster up the cash for a water cooled unit. What type is yours and what is the CFM?

Yes I was refering to inches of Hg. I think 18"hg = 610 mmbar or in the case of powerdub 24"= 812mmbar.

I run a 1 1/2 hp milker vacccuume pump. I try to get 17" out of it. I also have a 3 hp but my generator won't run it so for now it just sits. Can't knock the 1 1/2 hp though it seems to do the job and I only paid $10 for it and have used it for at least 5 years now.

I'm running a Delaval 73 with a 3/4hp electric motor for 200 taps. I Run it at 18" and it just gets warm to the touch. The pump was free so I don't want to burn it up because I probably won't be able to find another one at that price.
