Howdy ,
Curious about the lengths of mains dropped into collection tanks .
Here's the question, it would seem mains that dropped into collection tanks on a gravity system should not be down at the bottom of the tank as once the tank fills with sap above the mains going into the tank it would create back pressure on the gravity fed mains entering the tank . Would this be a correct assumption ? Seems it would be better to have them enter the cover of the tank and remain above the sap in the collection tank preventing any restriction of flow on the mains coming into the tank .
