How do I hook of a vac gauge on mainline? I have 2 setup from last year but can't remember what fittings I used.
Thanks

use a 3/4 inch insert fitting that has a 90deg. elbow with a 1/2 inch threaded female NPT insert (looks like a pipe for smoking tobacco) then use 1/2 to 1/4" bushing to reduce it down to vac gauge size. either brass, plastic or stainless reducer bushings available- cheap stainless available at FW Webb.

use a entrence and a barb on the vac gauge and you can run it to your trail with ease.

Here is one way. This picture was taken at Glen Goodrich's Sugarbush.
5313 Placed at the junction of the conductor lines. Walk the lines isolate the main lines and watch the gauge for leaks.
Value of the ball valves and stainless fittings with guage about $90.00. Plastic is about $10.00 less and are prone to failure.
