From our Sunday paper, associated with mlive.com.

"BELLEVUE, Mich. (AP) — Michigan's warm winter could mean less syrup from maple trees.

Larry Haigh, president of the Michigan Maple Syrup Association, says he's "not overly optimistic" about a bumper crop. TV station WILX (http://bit.ly/z8I1kf) reports Michigan production could be the lowest since 44,000 gallons in 2000. Last year was superb with 123,000 gallons.

Haigh says most producers have syrup remaining from 2011...

With more frost, it's not too late to have a decent season."

The mainstream media should really just shut up! Most everything they talk about is a lie anyways. The truth is no one knows what will happen and for the (AP) of all news sources to start speculating is a real joke.
