Moths ???

We started with 8 buckets three years ago and have nearly 50 now and I'm bricking up a Leader Half Pint so the experience and knowledge are half pint too.

We are getting a lot of moths. Many buckets have none, some have 4 to 6.
Is there any problem with these guys taking skinney dips in the sap???

Is there a way to discourage them ????

That kind of year, I had them in my buckets the first week of the season in the middle of Feb this year. Speaking of which, I was outside playing with the kids yesterday evening and felt something biting my hand and looked down and a mosiquito was biting me. 8O

Brandon you can keep the mosquitos down there. I'm not ready for those yet. The moths won't hurt anything Brent just filter them out before you boil your sap.
