Hi
Always had the thought about filtering hot (off the evap straight into siro filter) or warm, ( off the evap and into holding tank ) then filtered through siro filter and into the bottler. So far in my experiments over the last few years it makes litle diffrence ! Cloudy syrup may follow hot or warm. if i had to choose one over the other i would say filter hot and then into the bottler. Some years i battle sugar sand more than others. its a pain the butt, Work hard only to bottle cloudy syrup sucks. Flavour is always spot on, but its the thought of the cloudy syrup that gets to m, again most of the time its all good say for a few batches.

I am contemplating useing filter aid this year, so i'm asking what experiences Do producers have with filter aid?

What is the ratio between syrup and filter aid?
Does temperature matter when useing filter aid?
How long do you circulate the syrup before it goes into the bottler?
Any other advice?

Thanks
Darrell
