Ron couldn't take it anymore, so off to the woods with all his stuff! We have about 4" of snow from several small storms and it's cold and windy. Sun was out most of the day. We will see what happens. It's so early. 162 taps in so far, trying for 500 this year. The vacuum pump has been moved next to the sap house and the main line is coming from the woods down across the pasture, suspended on steel posts, so another experiment in trying to be more efficient and cost effective. Time will tell. Trying to convince him to try a few of the new health spouts in one area ans see how they do. At the seminar today, I was told they work really well. Another expense, never an end to this... customers eagerly awaiting the first run...

I'm over in Glen, not too far from you guys. Conditions have seemed great, but I've been pretty reluctant to start. However, after seeing the extended forecast tonight, I think I'm convinced. Only wish I started getting things ready sooner! Good luck!
