what is leader 30p designed for? the max flex it says its for drop lines. the max grip says its for lateral lines? so what is the 30p for? does it do both? i have 30p for everything on my laterals thats why i ask.

I have about 950 with 30p for drops. The problem with it is after a couple of years it will turn on the T and you can see vac leak at each T. The softer types of tubing do not seem to do this.

I have never used it for drops. It is not as flexible but it would work I would think.

Semi rigid be it 30p or Lapierre's semi rigid for sap lines.

Max flex is OK for drops, SUCKS for sap lines... For drops it can still kink and doesn't shape well.
I also use it for the pig tail from the saddle to the hook connection.

For drops I love some old dark purple stuff, they don't make anymore I think? My father-in-law picked it up 8 years ago... still supple and flexible.
Its a little small inside diameter but with warm water it goes on tees and taps pretty well.
You can tie knots in it and wrap it around trees... its flexible even at -10.

use the 30P while its on there! use it till you start having issues. You spent the time and money to make the drops and install them wait until you have a vacuum leak and then replace the drop...it'll save you a lot of time and effort. When you start running vacuum be careful with your cutting tools on the fittings. If you cut into the barbs at all it will start making a lot of little vacuum leaks and start bringing your vacuum down. I've gotten to the point where it is almost cheaper in the long run to replace a fitting if i have to splice something back together. Beats going back to a fitting you just replaced only to find you have a vacuum leak there1

thanks that helps. i i didnt want to have to buy more tubing this year so i had to make some of my drops about 12" or less! so i will replace those ones but leave all the other ones.
