Arctic air is coming in a few days and isn't going anywhere.

Blue182, I also tapped a test hole last week. it was running great. The long range ive seen is off and on, maybe 2 days with 20 degree weather and a day of 40 degree. If all of my stuff was ready i would be tapping already and waiting for the run to happen.

I have two test holes and there is no sap yet. I think i'm about 3-4 weeks out still.

How about Central Vt ? Anyone tapped around Montpelier yet ? Seems like you could, but being on buckets I'm waiting a bit...

I am still working on getting ready.....glad to hear that a cold snap is commin and might stay for a while. That aught to buy me just enough time to get things up and ready. I am still waiting for the town meeting timeframe for tapping here in Fletcher, but I have a pretty short fuse if it looks a bit warm the week before. Hoping to set my collection tanks and realeaser on the weekend of Feb 18th. Then maybe do the RO flush and check for leaks in my plumbing on the 20/21st. I want to be all set to roll from that day on. Time is really getting short now! Sure wish I had started the new sugarhouse build a little earlier! I certainly dont want to be "fashionably late" for when the sap really starts to run.
