Sugar sand warning!!!!

We drawed off 2 gallons of syrup today and we had more sugar sand from the the 2 draw offs than probably in 5 gallons last year.

Dont know why but has anyone else noticed anything like this?

Actually I think I've seen less sand so far. I've boiled 7 days in a row until today. Last year was bad for me, as far as sugar sand.

Sugar sand I can handle - the sugar slime we dealt with last year I don't ever want to see again!

I had to clean my pan after the second boil!
It does look like sugarsand will be bad this year.

great my first year at it and I will have to deal with that already...Add on more pressure would yeah!

A old timer tolled me . that more sugar sand the better his syrup would taste
