can you still get new english tin pans made? all i see in the maple equipment is ss! if so what is the cost diffrence? can they be welded? can they change the fourmula so they can take the lead out so they are safer?

cost of ss. when you are buying pans and the estimated pay back is five years for ss. on a 2x4 with 120 taps

Well if its just personal use why not just use mild steel way better than lead

i would recomend making your own pans out of ss. look at online metal stores. im making a 2x4 mason drop tube design rear pan and a 2x2 front pan and the stainless is going to cost under $500 shipped to my house. then i just need it bent and welded which i can do. if you cant bend and weld it see if a school shop class can or a machinest/fabricator can. my .02.

most likley 2-4x8's or 4x10's not quite sure what i need yet i think jut 2 4x8's. im getting brushed finished instead of the mirror finished.(quite a bit cheaper)

If you can you will probably want to get something even wider be much easier

most places i have looked(not many) only go 4' wide. and thats all i will need with my plan. im going to have the pan sheet be 4' long and 6-7 feet wide. i look at w.f masons drop tube evaporator. thats what i plan on doin just a little different.
