was wondering whats a good release for under 1000 taps. whats are advantages and disadvantages of a mechanical electric realease?

They sell a mini releaser for about $925.00 new. This would work great for your set-up. If you can keep it covered from snow and ice a mechanical would work fine and save you money.

I do not believe you can get a mini releaser that will handle 1000 taps. I have a single vertical Lapierre on 1050 that works well. I have had little trouble with it for 5 years. The biggest drawback for mechanical is you are building a huge vacuum leak into your system. If my releaser was not 1600' from electricity it would be electric.
