Eastern Ct Warm Weather

Help. This is my second year making syrup. Working on a new evaporator and the weather has me scared. I live in eastern CT. The temp. has been above freezing during the day and cold at night. Should I start tapping my trees. A friend has tapped a few trees and gotten some sap. I tapped One tree and nothing yet. Should I wait or start tapping trees? Thanks

I always go to this thread: http://mapletrader.com/community/forumdisplay.php?29-Tapping-Connecticut-2012 to see what other CT members are up to. I thought it might be a tad early myself but the temps are right and members with more years experience than myself are tapping so I'll pull out my stuff today and tap this weekend! :D

I would wait till next weekend because I tapped last weekend and I wish I waited till this weekend or next weekend would be even better.
