I don't have an ro,but a neighbour does.Bruce from Leader told me permeate will clean up my pans nicely at the end of the season,just wondering if there is any way of getting it from the neighbour,stockpiling to fill the pans at the end of the season?

Yes, you can hold on to that. Its basically distilled water, which has nothing in it to 'go bad'. For years I had a barrel that I would dump the condensate water from my hood and preheater in and would use that for cleaning my front pan. The water 'held' nicely until I needed it. The only way it would not work would be if his membranes were passing a lot of sugar, but I doubt you'd have a problem.

exactly. the permeate is basically purified water and had no minerals just as long as you store it in a non curosive container, stainless or plastic. and make sure its clean and sanitized to minimize bacteria. and unless you heat seal it keep it cold, which shouldn't be too much of a problem in the spring time, except for a a few day here and there.
