Is there any reason not to use plastic (potable) for my 500 gal. permeate tank? And what kind of fittings, valves and piping are recommended? Also, can the Springtech R.O. pump the permeate up 8' to the tank or do both need to be on the same level? Getting ready to install it all next week, so any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks.

That should work fine!! The pumps are water pumps and should push it up 8' no problem,I use clear hose with string in it,pvc fittings, stainless fittings and banjo quick dis connects

Many folks use poly tanks for that- their easier to come by than stainless ones and quite a bit cheaper too. My Airablo RO (which basically is the same thing as a Springtech- same manufacturer, different nameplate installed) pumps my permeate just about straight up 13ft and the concentrate is about another foot and half or two above that. No problems. Good luck with your machine!
