saw a post about a guy that made homemade steam hoods. can not find it now would like to try it can someone lead me in the right direction. also is it worth doing and how much will it help my gph? willing to try it if it will make a difference. any help is appreciated. thanks!

have been working on steam hoods for my evap for several years..am on the 6th generation..think i finally got it right...
now, mine is primarily for steam removal..not sure it has affected the boil rate..

My friend JEC made a homemade steam hood for his 2x5.

there where some steam hoods in the classified ads that a guy in ny was making. his name is ed. i called him he'll make you anything you want.

What classifieds are you talking about? I don't see anything in these classifieds.

its still on there from dec 26. his name is ed 315-668-6469 or 315-409-6608. he seemed like a nice older gentlemen. he told me he keeps a couple hoods made, but will make any size.

His ad is listed under evaporators. They look nice. May have to have one made next year.
