I am working on seting up my 600 tap wet dry line. I have a question about stainless steel reinforced clear poly tees that leader sells?? Are they a must or can I just use a standard pvc tee, at $21 each they add up fast. leader item number# 47129 Thanks paul

You can use the pvc tee, our whole wet dry line system was set up using pvc connections. Make sure to buy quality clamps, don't cheap out on the clamps, they'll break on you and leaking can occur. Check the hardware stores, you sometimes will get a better deal.

the nice thing about the clear poly tees is that you can see the sap...i've got ten in my orchard and like them a lot. they see a lot stronger than regular pvc tees. i know in the cold those pvc tees are wicked brittle and will snap like nothing if something hits your lines. those clear poly tees hold up...its the fittings that you attach to the tees will snap before the tees will

For those using the clear poly tees I have a question. I used 3 this year. On the first 2 I used a chinese pipe pull on the main and pulled against the top and bottom wet dry support wires, on the 3rd I have not yet transfered to main pull to the wet dry, all tension is on the tee and the my manifolds are 12" tall, I have 1.5 x 1.25 bushing, then a male adapter elbow 1.25" down from the 1.5" poly tee to insert, on the wet line I have a1.25" SS insert Lapierre tee and a short piece of `1.25 tubing connects it. Going up I have a 1.5 male x insert adapter, a short piece of 1.5 tubing, then a 1.5 ell and then the same as the wet but in 1.5". Will the mainline tension stress the poly tee and cause failure or should I continue transferring the pull to wet and dry? My elbows are just PVC insert adapters or plain PVC insert elbows.
