Main Line Check-Valve?

I was wondering if a check-valve should be used on main lines entering a releaser? Dry and Wet?

I believe that Dr Perkins has responded to a similar thread recently and that the best place for the check valve to prevent backflow of sap is right at the taphole. Do a search and you should find the thread.
