hey guys . i recently met up with a friend that was making me a couple canning units and realized i dont really need both canning units. he lives a couple hours from me and and i just picked them up .

i am having trouble finding out what to price one canner with lid and basket .
its 16"x16"x16" and is 14 gauge , which is taller and a bit sturdier than the leader canner that sells for $550 (with stand and regulator though) its tig welded and reinforced on the inside on the seams.

theres a 1/2" NPT port for your ball valve or canning valve and a 1/4" NPT for a thermometer to make sure your above 185 degrees while canning .

it has a 5" deep mesh basket that hangs over the edges of the pan and is very secure . this will hold your cheese cloth or orlon filter while you pour your syrup to drain below . you will have over 10" below the mesh basket giving you a capacity of over 11 gallons of space for filtered syrup below .

you could even finish your syrup on this if you want .

i just dont know what i should price it at . i placed an ad on here but left the price at zero .

my buddy might start making them for people this summer when he has more time .

it was my design so be gentle with the criticism. i just dont own a tig welder and press and brake and ....

I'm a new guy at this, what purpose does the large screen perform. I would like one, just not sure about how it all works ?
