I am green as grass with this Maple thing! If I did not stop at this site at least four times a day, I would feel like a high school freshman cutting class. This site is my "institution of higher learning". Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge!

So, who on the site has the most posts? WV is over 4000, anybody beat that? Second question - who has the most posts recently?
By the looks of the November tapping thread that just ended, posts seem to be up. There were like 46 pages or something. I love to see this site so active, especially this time of year. In years past, site would stay kind of slow until all the "pre tapping" threads in Jan/Feb. Great site and a great bunch of guys. Anyone ever see a women post? I recall a women who had her own operation who used to post out of PA?

B-town's own Mapleman3 is second, with just over half as many posts as WV! I'm only 76th. Don't worry - I'm working on that. :)

WV may just be the oldest active poster as well. I don't see too many who found this site in 2003. Sure wish I had, certainly would have helped me avoid many of my early mistakes:)

Most everybody I know talks trash about February. I just bite my tongue and say nothing. February is when we make maple in southern ohio. The mud, the snow, the trees, the woods, the boil in the sugar house, stacking wood, running the evaporator, pausing during bucket collection to muse on a cardinal standing out against a backdrop of snow, did I mention the fresh air?, the exercise, scrubbing the storage tank.... the list of reasons to love this process can go on for pages. I love February! I also love late January and Early March for the same reasons. Its an amusement park for big kids.

Hi my name is Dan O'Shaughnessy i am addicted to sugaring, yes im a mapleholic i started sugaring with my dad at ten years old and on my own at 12, i started with 1 bucket on the stove then 4 then 12 then 72 and now 600. my addiction has gotten worse and worse, its hurts me physically and emotionally every year it hurts my family for 2months out of the year (well not the mother because she doesnt have to put up w me as much in the house):). my friends tell me that drugs are expensive these days i wouldnt know, i tell them dude you aughta try sugaring, i have waisted so much money on this costly addiction, and through my social life away for 2months, but the with drawl from girls isnt as bad as the one from sugaring, its been 8months and 2 days since i last boiled and the with drawl is taking its toll, i some times shake uncontrollably just thinking about boiling, ive been told it gets worse and you spend even more, with the more trees you tap and i want 15,000 its so bad im on this site in the middle of class right now at school i have another tab open, when my techer is not looking i type
I DONT NEED HELp
ok maybe a little
