I recently had a bunch of welding done on my flat pan to turn it into a divided pan. Just wondering the best way to clean it now before I put it up for a few months. I want it to be relatively ready to use when I take it out of storage. Thanks....

If you are going to sand blast it wait till you are about to use it and it will be ready then.

Just making sure I get any welding "residue" off. Wondering if the standard vinegar scrub and rinse is enough, a bleach wash, or if I need to go acid wash. Just making sure it is as safe as I can make it.

How much residue are we talking about? The weld should not be too dirty. Vineger or bleach would be fine, and rinse it well- several times. A scotch-brite pad and lots of elbow grease should clean it up nicely.

No, nothing too serious with the residue. The pan hung around in a welding shop for a few months and I didn't know what kind of nasties might be floating around in there and landed on it. Next warmish day I'll get it outside and wash it up good like I always do and rinse well. Sounds like it should be OK.

Check your local weld shop for stainless toothbrush style brush. That will help discoloration. Use the vineager and water method for cleaning. ATMO
