Aluminum Duct For Hood

Is there anything wrong with using semi-rigid aluminum duct for hood exhust?

i dont think so, i have been using aluminum duct from home depot on my steam hood for years now, 8 inch stack is what i have, but they only carry 3 and 4 inch so i snapped together 2 of the 4 inch ducts to get 8 inch duct, worked great and pretty cheap!
