on the older small brothers round bottom sap tanks they used what looks like a sink drain for the drain fitting..what do you use to adapt to it so you can hookup a line to your pans/float box?? dad bought two 1200 gallon tanks this summer and we can,t find a fitting that fits on thoses sink drains and looks right.

You should be able to find someone like a plumber to fix something up for you..There are alot of things out there that they can do.

How about a fernco fitting.

Had the same problem for a 1500 gallon tank that came out of Canada. Had to get my dealer to order the female adapter to make the connections. None of the local plumbing stores had anything.

we thought about a fernco fitting but wasn,t sure how foodgrade it was.we did try one and thought it would work tho.between dad and myself we have a ton of diffrent plumbing fittings and nothing looks right.the closest was the piping that goes on a sink trap but it only screwed on about two threads.we didn,t trust it to hold if the tank got full.

I would like a nickel for every fernco used in the maple industry! LOL Don't think using one would be a problem as far as food grade. You would just be in good company with maney other Maple producers! JimL.
