What to expect to pay

What should I expect to pay for a used 3X8 soldered s/s drop flue. With arch and hood and pipe. Pans are in good condition and arch is structurally sound but has rust. Pretty old. Not sure what brand it is. Didnt see a tag. Any ballpark estimates. Is 3,400 fair?

This question is somewhat tough to answer. It pretty much comes down to a judgement call. Do the pans look like they were well cared for? Are they clean? They are leak free? Rusty is one thing, but as long as the sides are not rusted and/or burned through, and the grates are good, it does'nt sound like a bad deal. Now compare it to the price of a new one...

Due to it's age it probably has leaded solder. Not a deal breaker by any means, just something to be aware of.
