Are seasonal taps only good for vacuum or will they work good on gravity ( with tubing to a 5gal bucket on the ground)?

I can't think of any reason they wouldn't work.

They would have to work better. I new spout that is bacteria free has to be better even without vac. The further you can keep bacteria away from the tap hole the better.

A seasonal spout is a spout you only use one year and then throw it away. Any spout could be a seasonal spout. They sell a clear straight spout that is .10c each that seem to be liked by many.

Do you know where they have them for .10c? The cheapest I have found so far is .25

I'm looking at going with the 5/16 clear taps but I see they also have 1/4in for .05 less....what would the sap diffreance be between the 2? Would you be able to notice?

W.H. Supply in Sheldon Vermont sells the spouts for .11c you can look up their web site. I was told to stay away from the 1/4 inch spouts because no research has been done on them yet. I think it was the good Doctor that told me that.
